Africa Day is a celebration that acknowledges the progress of Africans across the diaspora, honors the strength of the continent, and reflects on shared challenges in a global context.

Africa’s Global Impact: Community, Culture, and Conversation

The evening featured poetry, community building, and meaningful discussion. Regional leaders shared their efforts to strengthen Africa’s contributions to both the local and global economy at the historic Karamu House in Cleveland, Ohio. Panelists included Junaid Ward, Independent Advisor representing South Africa; Esther Nemba, Founder and CEO of Furahi Taste of Home, representing the Democratic Republic of the Congo; and Haja A. Tunkara, Owner of GeMir Project Consulting Group, representing Sierra Leone. The evening also featured a performance by Caira Lee.
